You should take your current one off and see what type you have. If you can't take it off, then you should go down to your local parts store and ask them which one your vehicle takes. They have a huge database that typically lists all of the different parts that are needed.

What is Difference between relief valve and safety valve?

Relief valve always position in the suction line in oreder to relief the extra pressure, while safety valve is always placed at discharge line to release excess pressure.I would take that one step further by stating that a " RELIEF VALVE" is one that is "meant" to be lifted off its seat, as opposed to a "SAFETY RELIEF VALVE" which is not!DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RELIEF VALVE AND SAFETY VALVE:1. Releif valve is applicable in the fluid system.safety valve is applicable in the gaseous system.2.Relief valve opening is directly proportional to the pressure rise.Safety valve opening is will happen at after reaching the setpressure.3.Mode of relif vlave line is again connected to the suction. But in the safety valve is just vent-out there is no connection tosuction.

What is the purpose of geyser pressure valve?

The purpose of a pressure relief valve in a geyser is to release the pressure created inside due to evaporation of water.

What is selection criteria for relief valve?

The selection criteria for relief valves is based on a number of factors. Some of them include size, design and the operating characteristics among others.Ê

Functions of relief valves in fluid power control systems?

Fluid power comes in two forms: hydraulic and pneumatic. The pump in an hydraulic system is a flow source, delivering a set amount of fluid every revolution. Pressure is an effect due to restriction on flow in the circuit. If the oil delivered by the pump is used to operate a cylinder, the pressure that develops is due to load on the piston. If the pressure required to move the load on the cylinder is greater than the setting of the relief valve, the piston will not move and all the oil will pass through the relief valve. Also, when the piston has moved to the end of the stroke, it cannot move any further, however the oil delivered by the pump goes over the relief valve. If there wasn't a relief valve, the pressure will build up until the oil from the pump can flow somewhere: by bursting a hose or breaking the pump or cylinder.

Difference between set pressure and blow-off pressure?

The set pressure is the pressure at which a relief valve starts to open. When the valve is open and relieving, the pressure will be higher or lower than the set pressure, depending on the system and the valve design. That is the blow-off pressure.

How does a water heater vacuum relief valve look like?

Please see link below.

What causes water to come out of the top of a water heater?

Depends where it is coming from. If it is on the cold side and from the vacuum relief valve, no big deal. If it is coming from the inlet or outlet ports where the fittings are screwed in, then they were not sufficiently threaded in properly.

Why are ball valves flanged?

A flanged ball valve is generally selected because it allows for easy removal of the ball valve for replacement or repair. With NPT, socket weld, or butt weld connections, the piping of the valve must be disturbed. With flanged, the piping remains intact which can greatly reduce maintenance costs. Do all propane tanks have a relief valve?

Propane tanks are required to have a safety relief valve. The relief valve is a safety device on the propane tank to vent excess pressure.

What is difference between pressure reducing valve and pressure relief valve?

pressure relief valve relief the excess pressure which is developed in the syatem, while pressure reducing valve reduces the pressure and supply it to the system.
