Best Answer

Jews used to live in the Gaza Strip as Israeli Settlers from the late 1960s to their removal by the Israeli government in 2006. No Jews have lived in the Gaza Strip since they were removed in 2006, and governance of the Strip handed over to the Palestinian Authority.

In addition, Jews do not have a religious claim to Gaza as that territory belonged to the Philistines during the Ancient Kingdoms of Israel and Judah.
