No. In fact, MOST US states do not require a permit to own or purchase a handgun.

Do all 50 states have a have a permit for a gun?

First, could you tell us what you mean by a "permit for a gun"? MOST states do not require a permit to own a firearm. 48 states require a permit to carry a concealed handgun. Two, Vermont and Alaska, do not require a permit to carry concealed.

Points that people in America can carry guns?

It depends on what you mean. In some states, you can carry a handgun openly without a permit. In most states, you have to have a permit to carry a handgun at all, or to carry it concealed. Two states and the District of Columbia don't issue handgun permits. The states that do issue permits have restrictions, a few places within the states that is off-limits, even if you have a permit, such as schools, courthouses, etc.

If you have a Tennessee handgun permit can carry your gun through Alabama Louisiana and Texas?

Yes. All of those states recognize Tennessee handgun permits.

Is it illegal to sell an individual a handgun?

That depends on your states laws. Some states allow it; some states require all handgun purchases to be made through an FFL dealer.

Do all states require gun permits?

No- but you need to define the term "gun permit". MOST states do not require a permit to own or purchase a gun. SOME treat handguns differently from rifles and shotguns. MOST states (not all) DO require a permit to carry a handgun concealed. The laws vary greatly from state to state. If you run a Google search for "{your state} gun laws", you should find a link to a summary of the laws for your state. In a VERY few cases, some cities may have their own regulations on firearms.

Can you get a handgun license at 20?

It depends on the state, and on what you mean. If you mean a license to carry a handgun, most, but not all states require you to be at least 21.

Is it legal to carry a handgun in a commecial vehicle?

Generally speaking, yes. Some companies have policies against carrying a handgun on company property, including company owned vehicles, but as far as actually against the law, it is legal, as far as I know, in all states, *IF* you can legally carry a gun in public (some states require a permit), and the state of Illinois currently doesn't allow carry of a handgun in public at all.

What is the difference between a personal protection permit and a ccw permit?

It depends on what you mean, but also, what state you are in. I've never heard of a personal protection permit. A CCW permit is a permit to carry a handgun on your person for personal protection, however, it should be noted that all states in the U.S. don't issue CCW. Some states, such as Tennessee, issue "handgun carry permits" and concealment is not required by law.

Do you need a permit to use and own a pellet gun?

It all depends on where you live. Some Counties, States, and countries require a permit. Several states do not.

Which states allow gun use?

Your question is too vague to really answer. Long guns (Rifles or Shotguns) are handled differently by almost all states than handguns. Almost all states allow you to own a long gun without any kind of permit. Many states allow you to own a handgun without a permit. Most states, that allow you to carry outside the home, require a permit to carry. Notice the difference. The ability to carry outside the home is more regulated than just owning a handgun. Can you carry a concealed weapon not registered to you?

I have not researched the CCW laws of all 50 states, but of the ones that I AM familiar with, all require you to carry a particularly identified weapon. If you live in a state that requires you to 'register' your handgun then I would imagine that THAT is the weapon you are limited to carrying. To add to the previous answer, it depends on the state. In some states, once you get the permit, you can carry any handgun you legally possess. Tennessee and Florida are two that come to mind. I also believe Utah is the same. However, some states require you to carry only a certain type, IE: If you qualified with a revolver, you can only carry a revolver, and some states require you to carry only the actual gun you qualified with.

How old do you have to be to carry an unconcealed hand gun in the state of Arizona?

18 years of age to own any rifle, shotgun or handgun. However, you must be 21 to purchase handguns or handgun ammunition from any dealers. That being said, your handgun would have to be purchased from a private party, face-to-face.
