To my knowledge, yes, they do. All cameras that I've seen have the hole at the bottom that you screw onto the tripod, so I think all cameras can be used on a tripod (well, definitely all modern cameras).
you can mount any camera with a tripod just make sure that it has the capacity to hold the weight of your camera(if using a DSLR)
Yes
Most consumer cameras are 1/4 x 20 threads. Be careful of the length, too long and it can damage some cameras.
A one legged support for a camera is called a monopod or a unipod. Such supports are used by photographers that need to stabilize their cameras but do not need or want to carry a full sized tripod.
If you mean a stand used for steadying the camera while taking pictures, then it's called a tripod.
in gymnastics the term tripod means a certain move that gymnastics do. When doing a tripod one stands on their head with their head framing one leg of the tripod, and their two hands making the other two legs of the tripod.
I think it depends on the quality of the tripod head, but some use silicone fluid (the chemical name is too much for me) made by Dow Corning.
Sure
cameras and telescopes can mount a tripod
Tripod is a platform on which cameras can be mounted while you are capturing pictures and shooting videos. Tripod is used to support cameras, camcorders, video cameras, etc. in order to avoid camera shakes or movements. Tripods provide stability to shoots so that the photographer/cinematographers who are using the tripod don't need to worry about the undesirable camera shakes. With the help of tripod, you can take stable and precise shots without any compromises. The height of the tripod is fully adjustable so that you can take shots at every angle. And most importantly they are quite easy to carry.
http://shop.usa.canon.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/subCategory_10051_10051_-1_12136 has several tripods that are recommended for Canon cameras. The Deluxe Tripod 200 and the Mini Tripod 7 are two of them.
Camera tripods almost all have a 1/4" thread that will mate with almost all cameras. Some of the very smallest cameras may not have a tripod bush at all while some of the larger commercial cameras may have a 3/8" thread. Larger tripods are also likely to have 3/8" screws to handle the larger cameras. Some tripods need an adapter plate to connect to a camera but these models are rare.
I would say that the Kodak tripod can hold various cameras up to 50 pounds prefectly.
I haven't seen any digital cameras that automatically come with a tripod. But most camera brands do make a tripod that can be purchased seperately and work well with your camera.
The tripod is a three legged support system built to hold cameras, telescopes, etc higher up so you don't have to hold them yourself.
Yes, many school photographers use DSR cameras. Since they are more affordable to the general public they have become more popular. All you need is a nice camera and a tripod!
The top contender is the Manfrotto 725B Digi Tripod. It's a favorite of professionals and amateurs.
Use a good tripod. Nothing improves image sharpness better than a good tripod
