Most animals live where they do in relation to how their needs are met. A simple example would be man lives on the earth because our needs are met by having suitable water, plants and animals to eat as well as having needed sunlight and oxygen. Although crocs are more common in Africa and Asia ( "The Nile Crocodile" hay that rhymes!!) there are some in the Amazon. More common is the Cayman Family. A crocodile needs a warm climate for its cold blood to pump and for their reproduction . There are many animals that will fit into the crocks diet that live in the amazon
