If they are not friendly goldfish species than they will but in general they don't. If they do than you probably don't feed them enough but that is really unlikely.

∙ 14y agoI would guess that the fish are very very hungry. They could also be overcrowded. Goldfish need to be fed a few times daily (at least morning and evening) but only as much as they can eat in 15 minutes. As far as overcrowding goes. The basic rule is "1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. Goldfish grow to around 10 inches so for 1 goldfish you would need a minimum of 10 gallons of water. That means you need a minimum (nominal) 15 gallon tank.

∙ 11y agoyes the goldfish can eat each other if you put the bigger goldfish with baby goldfish. i own goldfish i had experienced with when i had putted about 1inch goldfish with Adult 12Inch goldfish , and the adult ate it -.-

∙ 9y agoIf a goldfish can swallow another goldfish it will happen. You can test out what happens if you put 2 betta fish together the next day one will be gone.
If you put a big goldfish & a small goldfish together the bigger one might eat the little ones fins.
They pretty much eat whatever can fit in its mouth. Usually a small goldfish won't fit into a larger goldfish's mouth, but if it can.... It will probably either get eaten, get injured, or might have missing body parts.
