Yes, Do not, under any circumstances, cut their nails, as they hold vital nerves which, if damaged, can be seriously life threatening. It varies from hamster to hamster, but every week or month, you may be able to find them sitting in their 'pee patch' biting their nails. It may not seem like they are doing a good job, but its better than cutting them for them.
You could just take them to a vet
Take it to the vets to get them trimmed,
yes they do
You can carefully squeeze the paw of the hamster to check the length of the hamsters claw. The hamsters claws are too long when the curve around. It is very rare for a hamster to need their claws cutting.
Most likely, they are fighting for territory, so separate them and scrub your cage really well and replace the water and food so they think the place is new. If they are old and their claws are sharp, then make them walk on a rough brick or sandpaper so their claws are not as sharp. Your hamsters probably wont fight each other anymore..... Unless the really hate each other that much... P.s. This also works for other kinds of hamsters. :d
Bears do not have fingers, they have claws. People do have fingers, but the question is asking about animals! Monkeys, do have fingers. Some people say that pandas have fingers! Guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, etc all have claws that are sort of like claws.
Generally, no, but hamsters have very long, strong, sharp foreteeth that can bite down, to the point that blood is drawn or even severe damage is done, depending on where it bit, how long, and how hard. Their claws can also be sharp and scratch whoever is holding them if one is not careful.
In science, a "control group" is a group of test subjects that do not receive any of the experimental food/ gas/ poison/ bizarre additions to their environment, etc., that theother groups in the test do get.)For example, if you wanted to see the effects of feeding plutonium to hamsters,(not recommended by the way)you would get two groups of hamsters. One group is fed the plutonium, and all effectswould be observed. (none would be good)What you need to show what happens to ordinary hamsters over the same period of timeis called a "control group".This would be a (luckier) group of hamsters that were not fed the plutonium. Then you could show the differences (considerable) of the resultant effects on the two groups.
Not always. A cat's claws are usually retracted, but it extends its claws whenever it wants to use them, whether in play or for business (climbing things, holding on to things, scratching itself, getting off to a running start, and so forth). For a cat, claws are very much like fingers for humans; they add to the amount of control the cat has over his environment and his ability to manipulate things, and he will use them when he is playing if he wants to control the toy.
Because when sam gotten out of control and was turning into a wolf he scratched her accidentally with his claws .
Toes are for balanceALSO, because gerbils and their relatives stand on their hind legs to look out and it got passed down to mice, rats, hamsters etc
