i personally have never had a relay go bad
The fan motor and relays do go bad.
Not often, it is usually the fuel pump that fails.
Check the fuses and relays first. It sounds like a loss of power to the seat motors. If these are good then the switches or motors could be bad.
There are about 8 to 12 or more relays on most cars, headlights, starter, FI relays, HVAC, and more, but most relays are usually in the underhood power distribution box.
check relays in the power distribution center. Fuel pump, Eatx and Autoshutdown relay. Also check the fuses that go to them relays.
under the hood on the right hand side, just in front of the firewall are some relays. under the relays there are some wires that go to the motor. disconnect the coupling.
Mabe your compressor is not kicking on for some reason. Check to see if the front of your compressor starts spinning when you turn it on. If it don't check to see if there is power to the wires that go to your compressor. If there is power you have a bad compressor. If there is not check the fuses or relays.
will a power steering cap leak
Perhaps the blower motor has burned out. When you say that the relays are working indicates you've followed the circuit out to them. Now go from there to the motor and make sure there is power that far. If there is power to the motor and you have a good ground and it still does not work: replace the motor.
Relays or relay units are like breakers that you would have in your home to protect your electrical sytem. They are also used as switches to transfer power from the energy source in your vehicle to the component that needs to perform it's task, simply put, when you turn the key switch in your car a multitude of relays switch on to connect power to your ignition, fuel pump and many accessories. If your fuel pump relay goes bad, no fuel is delivered to the engine, vehicle doesn't go
To operate a relay ( I am calling "third relay") from two separate parallel control relays is called logic "or". Connect the power wire coming in to both of the paralleled relays' switch common contact. ( These relays are up to you to wire their coils and activate.) Depending on the logic required you will wire the third relay coil to the paralleled control relays normally open or normally closed contacts. That is: Do you you want the third relay to go on with the control relays activation or off?
