If you live in a state that issues only one plate, it goes on the rear of the vehicle. If you live in a state that issues two plates, one goes in the rear and the other one goes on the front.
Obtain a car and license first. Then go to your local DMV with the proper papers, fill out an application and pay the fees then you will have your plates!!
Go the county tax office
Go to your local DMV and ask for replacement plates which cost about $8
We are looking to purchase a used car. Where do I go to look up a license plate for free?
No. The plates need to be on the same car they are registered to, so you can't go take the plates off a car of a dead person and put them on a different car. Let's say you inherit the car so you would go have the car put in your name and the plates would stay on the car but in your name. If you took the plates off a car to use on another car that would be stealing the plates. This could result in arrest.
If you get all 24 lisense plates you win a car but you cant go far in it !
You should have gone to the DMV when you bought the car. They hand the license plates to you when you register it. If your state does it differently, you need to phone them or go to DMV.
they go to.jail
If the state's law is for two plates, the logical places for them are one in the front, and one in the rear, but more and more states are going to one rear plate only for economic reasons,
To get temporary license plates you must go to your local department of motor vehicles and apply for one. They are usually good for thirty days and then you must get a permanent one.
No, not until you switch the front license plates and wheels with the back ones. Then you're good to go (in reverse).
Yes, that is why they put that little preregistration on the windshield. If you have the personal license plates they just transfer over to the new car and go on it at the time of purchase.
