They are scavengers, and will eat almost anything, so yes...providing you die in the woods.
No. Possums, which are native to Australia and islands of the South Pacific, feed primarily on fruit and insects. They should not be confused with opossums of North America, which are very different creatures, and are scavengers.
Possums do not eat dead birds.
Possums are essentially herbivorous and insectivorous, meaning they will eat a variety of foods - but not carrion. Possums' feeding habits range from omnivores (the Common Brushtail possum) to specialist browsers of eucalyptus (Greater Glider), insectivores (Mountain Pygmy Possum) and nectar-feeders (Honey Possum).
However, in New Zealand, where Brush-tailed possums have been introduced from Australia, they have reached plague proportions there, due to the lack of predators. In addition, their feeding habits have changed - they have been recorded eating eggs and chicks from birds' nests.
It should be noted that possums are completely different from opossums in North America. Opossums do eat carrion, including dead birds.

The true answer is YES, Of course possums would eat dead people if they were simply laid in the woods and not buried in the ground. They would do the job they were created to do. They will clean the world of any dead things (deer, rat, ect.) that they would discover as they forage. They eat whatever they find available.
So, if it were to be available to them you bet the would clean up a dead humans remains. Just say thank you and move on. Please let them do their
job unmolested. We need them. They really do keep America beautiful.

Yes. Possums will normally eat small avocados, I have two avocado trees in my backyard; and I can see the small avocados dissapearing from the trees. I have also seen possums at night at the driveway of my house. My yard-keeper showed me a path in the lawn by the fence where they walk at night; he agrees that the possums are the ones eating the small avocados.
