There are a couple of answers as to why cats urinate around the house. In no particular order: they mark their territory; especially if another cat lives or has lived in your home. They do it out of protest. If you leave them in the care of someone else and they miss you, you can count on urine spots and possibly even feces. My final answer is you need to change the litter box more frequently. Praise kitty for using it; but keep it well cleaned frequently.

∙ 15y agoYes but it happens very rarely it is a behavior problem .Also check and see how long has it been since he was spayed? It takes 6 to 8 weeks for the hormones o go out of his body.
