Do the green berets special forces focus mostly on unconventional warfare i want something with less teaching foreign forces and more fighting or anything similar to the tactics in splinter cell?

During the 20th century, for adventurous youths it would've been "join the marines!" Today all that's changed! Today there is no conventional enemy to fight (Soviet and Red Chinese tanks). For the 21st century, it's all about night vision goggles, knee pads, elbow pads, ballistic helmets, radar proof camoflage uniforms, guns that fire environmentally correct projectiles...and maybe even shoot around corners and are computerized to seek a target (smart bullets). Map and compass land navigation skills have been replaced by computers (GPS systems)...tanks and aircraft can nearly operate by themselves...and UAV's (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) do operate by themselves!

Conventional Infantry and Armor (foot soldiers and tanks) are evolving into 21st Global War on Terrorism technology. Meaning less traditional and more SPECIALIZED. Instead of risking 12 F4 Phantoms (and 24 airmen) dropping 200 bombs to destroy one bridge in Vietnam, now the bridge can be destroyed by one UAV (and it's smart weapon) with no human risk (no death nor hostage for the human pilot).

21st century conventional military forces, to include the Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Army are all going HI-TECH. Possibly, the only way to experience "old time traditional warfare" would be by going SEAL or SF or Ranger. During the Vietnam War, US Army Rangers did not have to be airborne qualified...they lost alot of Rangers, so in order to keep the war machine fed with new men the army dropped that requirement (desperate times require desperate measures). After the war, when they didn't need that many Rangers, the "Airborne" qualification was reinstated.

He set up the SP Team Counter Hi-Jack now CRW Counter Revolutionary Warfare Wing, The CRW Wing is now nominally made up of the personnel drawn from a single squadron, originally designated "Pagoda", which is relieved every 6 - 9 months. The squadron is split up into two combined troops, "Red" and "Blue", with each troop made up of an assault group and a sniper team. JWW exists to provide a jungle training facility to meet the requirement to train jungle warfare instructors for the British SAS and other regiments.

John also ran SAS Selection Course which is the hardest course in the world to pass and out of 100 only 5% are consider fit to join the Regiment before they start the real training 'Continuation Training'. The Commanding Officer of 22 SAS is alleged to have said that, "John Lofty Wiseman is an SAS legend" a real accolade from the best.

John Lofty Wiseman has trained survival to many specialists over the years both military and civilian and has undoubtedly saved many lives by his love of all things survival. It is his principles of survival and tools which he introduced that has had the biggest impact on the survival world whose achievements cannot be overestimated!
