Unless one figures the badly-orthographic ( spelling errors a principal comedy device) Winnie the pooh- which has Kanga and Roo, mother (Kanga) and son (Roo.) Winnie The Pooh is a bear, and is closer to an animal cartoon ( like Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse) than a fairy tale in the usual sense. I never could see the illiteracy as comedy idea ( Eeyore rather than Hee-Haw, Tigger for Tiger, Rabbit Howse, Hunny, etc. don"t like it. Illiteracy is no laughing matter!
