I too have run into this problem and found a book all about it.

Satire is used as sarcasm, kind of crude but often mistaken as constructive criticism.

It's also a sort of irony and misleading, the books name is 'introduction to satire'.

Example from book:

'FIRST MAN: "What do you think of a man who is caught in adultery?"

SECOND MAN: "He is too slow."'
