This feature is called Home Sharing. You can access music saved on one iTunes computer from another. This will works as long as you have home sharing enabled on both computers, are logged into the same iTunes account, and are connected to the same Wi-Fi. This service is not iTunes Match-related and is free.
Use the same iTunes account on both computers. If not, you can use home sharing when connected to the same WiFi network to transfer the apps and data.
well you need two computers to do this and you click advanced on iTunes and there will be a drop down menu. Then You click turn on home sharing and you must do this with both your computers. Then it will have a box near to iTunes store saying Home Sharing. Click on this and then it will be all the other computers songs. Then you copy the ones you want and then paste them into your library. Then click sync but it will delete the current songs on your new iPod.
You click on the Advanced button and then go down to turn on home sharing (I suggest doing this on the computer that has all the music on it 1st). You have to put in your apple account information. If you want to turn home sharing on another computer, then just do the same thing. If you want it to share between two computers, then you have to turn on and put in your account information on both computers.
You should be able to use your iPod and iPod Touch on the same iTunes account on both computers.
Apple's free iTunes software can be downloaded and used on both Mac and Windows computers. (See links below) If you want to buy music from the iTunes Store linked from the iTunes software then you will need to pay for that.
On the computer you enabled Home Sharing, sync both iDevices, then you should be able to do it.
This programs is called iTunes on both the Mac and PC. As far as I know there is no such program for Linux computers or those with other operating systems than MacOS and Windows.
Most likely, yes. If both computers are running Windows, for instance, either should be able to share its printer with the other. However, both computers would have to be running in order for the share to work.
yes. in the newest version there is a thing called home sharing. type in the same thing on both computers and you can wirelessly send the bought things on one computer to another. you can just copy any free stuff you have downloaded off of cds and things straight ont the second comp using a flash drive.
The portable version of the iTunes application can be downloaded from Apple. There are versions for both Apple and Windows computers. The portable version has a .dmg or .exe file format. The download page is found at http://www.apple.com/itunes/ After the iTunes application has been installed, it is not considered portable because there are many preferences and customizations that take place within the system which will not be moved along with the application in the Application Folder. The .dmg file also includes QuickTime, an application that iTunes needs to play some of the media types commonly used in computers. Simply moving iTunes will not include QuickTime.
