Yes as otherwise there is no point in going if you don't know anything about art as if it is an art boarding school you will do rubbishy at all the art lessons which you will be in 50% of the time
No
No. Boarding school means you live there.
Definitely not. A significant percentage of people that attend Christian boarding school are not Christian.
It is okay for a student to go just for high school boarding school, although it would be better for one to attend a boarding school since middle school, which is called junior boarding schools. However, if one already is a high school student, they can apply for good boarding schools, so that it can be helpful for them. Senior boarding schools give students wider environment that gives them a experience of university education. When applying for colleges and universities, it may be much more efficient for a student to get in.
check out boardingschoolreview.com It's a comprehensive list of essentially every boarding school in the country. I used it extensively in my search for a boarding school, and it helped a lot. I'm now super happy at the school I attend.
Be aware that boarding school can be an intense experience. Try to pick one that has good reviews and has been around for awhile. Experience is to be valued.
he went to a boarding school where it wasn't at all pretty!
From my experience, attending a boarding school in senior year is great! The most important lesson I got from my three year experience in a boarding school is that we get to be independent and learn how not to rely on others all the time to solve our problems. From that I also have more self confidence knowing the fact that I have lived 3 years of my life away from my parents. Next time I would already be used to it. The choice is yours actually, and your choice whether you will attend boarding school or not should also be approved by your parents. Often people that attend boarding school without permission by their parents end up doing badly at school. If you've got the permission, you have confidence that you can stay away from your parents, you are confident that you can solve your own problems (don't rely on friends all the time), and that you promise you will be responsible of your actions while at boarding school, then why not? Go for it! I am Mita, I want to say you that boarding life is just amazing. I also agree with RosaMistica that attending a boarding school we get to be independent and responsible that we can face any any challenge effectively. Also, in boarding schools we we will meet people from other backgrounds and we will learn that how to interact with them. I also studied in boarding school and I have got great experience over there. I think you should go for baording school.
Mary Todd Lincoln attended Madame Victoria Mentelle's Boarding School.
Princess Anne was Educated in Buckingham Palace and then at Brenenden school, a public boarding school in Kent.
Of course you can attend a boarding school in a town other than that in which you live. Boarding schools are independent and can accept anyone that meets their admission criteria, whatever that criteria may be (and it varies widely). The one point that is of most concern to most people is that your parents must pay taxes to support your local public school district regardless of whether you attend that high school or not. If you attend a boarding school, either as a boarder or day student, your parents will in effect will be paying double for your education. If you family is affluent or if you are awarded a full or even partial scholarship this issue becomes moot.
It is difficult to provide an exact percentage as data varies, but it is estimated that a small percentage of troubled teens in the US attend boarding schools during their high school years. Boarding schools can be an option for families seeking a structured and supportive environment for their teens who may be facing challenges.
