When you sell a used car in California the plates stay on the car. After selling aÊused vehicle in California a title transfer needs to be done.
A contract is a binding legal agreement, and you cannot cancel the contract. If you fail to make your payments on time they will repossess the vehicle. They will then sell the vehicle for whatever it will bring, and you will be required to pay the difference in the selling price of the vehicle and the balance on the loan. You will also pay all repossession fees. Your credit will be ruined for 7 years due to this action.
the law in California requires that your vehicle be
"If you purchase a used vehicle in Nevada and then no longer want the vehicle can you return it to the dealership and rescind the contract?"
If it is a used vehicle and the contract states that you bought it "as is", you can not return the vehicle. Unless you were somehow misled as to the deal, the vehicle, or the contract, and can prove it, you can not return the vehicle.
The same as are applied to selling it to anyone else.
I thought the selling owner needs to smog vehicle before selling it- the new owner does not need to re-smog the car.
Once you buy a car it is yours and you cannot return it. This hold good only if no issues and registration goes without any issue. for some reason if Vehicle is not registered and sold to other then the buyer can return the vehicle or even take legal action for selling a unregistered vehicle without informing to buyer.
