I had a 76 F100 with a 390 with headers and yes you do. worst thing I ever did was to put headers on that truck because the heat would cook the starters and leave me stranded in places i shouldn't be. hard to keep exhaust gaskets from leaking.
Remove the positive cable from your 1975 Chevrolet Corvette battery. Remove the two cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new starter.
Don't know that but where can I get a starter kit for a 1975 mercury 20hp 2 stroke motor. I can't pull the rope anymore. to old I guess
remove the wires from the starter and then the 2 bolts that hold it to the engine and it will come out as long as there is room without the exhaust manifolds or headers being in the way, if their in the way they have to be removed also.
you will have to get the headers that fit your model and then the easiest way to install them is to unloosen the motor mount on 1 side at a time and jack up the engine on the side your working on and install the header.

The 1975 Chevrolet Camaro heater blower motor can be found behind the passenger side dashboard. You will need to remove the passenger side kick plate in order to access the heater blower motor.
That's a ford engine, you could install it with motor plates.
You have to take motor mounts loose jack up each side start on passanger side first its easer,Then move to driver side take the steering rod out & run it though the header,Sounds easy right LOL...
