yes. because it is front wheel drive, you also have to remove the transmission
The crank sensor on the 2.0 DOHC engine is behind the flywheel (flex plate) on the back of the motor. In order to change it you must pull the transmission or motor.
on the crank near the back of th motor you will have to pull the crank out of the motor inorder to change the wheel i have a 2000 gc and just had to do this it is not an easy task
you have a couple options, you can pull the motor and have it rebuilt swap in a used motor from a junk yard drop the transmission and pull the crank, replacing it with a new crank rods and bearings if you are lucky you may not have scored the crank and you can replace the one bearing ang rod or you can junk/sell the car
Pull the motor or pull the transmission, one of them has to come out.
You don't pull it off. You pull it out. If you are lucky, you can do it with the motor in. Pull the oil pan, and main bearing caps,etc...(long answer) not easy for the home mechanic.
Pull the spark plugs and crank the motor over and over. be sure to have an other car there to jump it if you run out of juice.
depends on the motor 3.4 has two one is behind the crank pull and the other is on th back of the block
Pull the motor out of the car and change it.
It can be done by lifting the engine up.
Yes
Simple enough. pull the harmonice balancer, aka the crank pulley. remove the crank seal and there is the low pressure motor oil pump for the 7.3
take off the belt, use a pulley puller to pull it then reinstall.
