You don't pull it off. You pull it out. If you are lucky, you can do it with the motor in. Pull the oil pan, and main bearing caps,etc...(long answer) not easy for the home mechanic.

install 3.8 Chevy impala crank sensor passenger side , remove wheel and use pully to pull out crank shaft

AnswerCheck the crank pully bolt. If it has come loose you will have a leak. The crank pully bolt does not have anything to do with the crank shaft seal leak. Thebolt is independent of the seal. To replace seal remove crank shaft pully and you will have access to crank shaft seal, pull out & replace seal.
Yes it can.
You need to first pull the flywheel/magneto off of the crank shaft. The starter clutch is attached to the back side of it with bolts.
Crank shaft
remove head pull shaft out
Pull the balancer then the seal. NOT EASY
Rotate the handle upward. Push on the door panel around the window crank to expose the shaft. From the bottom side use a window crank removal too (c-clip removal too) or a flat-head screwdriver and push the c-clip off. Gently pull the handle off afterwards.
