Persons in Wisconsin that babysit relative's children occasionally do not need a license to babysit. Persons who operate a day care facility have to have a permit issued by the county that states their home or facility is suitable for babysitting.

Licensing
Do you need to be licensed to care for children?
Individuals and agencies that offer child care must be licensed through the State of Washington with few exceptions. You need to be licensed if:
You are caring for a child or children who are not related to you (except a close relative);
The care is on an ongoing, regularly scheduled basis for the purpose of engaging in business.
Persons who care for a relative's, neighbor's or friend's child or children (known as Family, Friend and Neighbor {FFN}) with or without compensation, where the person providing care for periods of less than twenty-four hours does not conduct such an activity on an ongoing, regularly scheduled basis for the purpose of engaging business, which includes but is not limited to, advertising. Such care is not required to be licensed but is an option for FFN providers.
For more information about licensing, visit the DEL Licensing web page.

You only need a license to babysit on a regular basis if you serve more than one family.
If you are operating a consistent daycare, you need a license in Arkansas. Occasionally babysitting children doesn't have a limit.
Well first off you don't absolutely need a license, because most parents do not care. On the other hand getting a license does help you receive more jobs probably because the parents see that you are taking the job seriously, and that you really know what you are doing. Not all babysitting jobs require a license, but it is certainly something to look into if you are serious about making money and keep the children safe. Hope this helps, WikiWooWho
Wisconsin does not require a groomer to be licensed. Illinois does. New York does not require license.
Yes.
You can babysit 4 children without a daycare license. If you are going to do this as a business, then you need to get a license.

You don't usually need a license to babysit, but if you feel that you need one, they may be given after babysitting courses, which are usually provided by local hospitals, but they will probably have a fee.
