The short answer is no, the long answer is maybe. Typically you want to change brake pads anytime they get below 20-30% of their original thickness, so, if your rear pads are above this level then you don't NEED to replace them, but you may want to just so you don't have to worry about it later. One thing to remember is that there are a lot of really good aftermarket (and performance) brake pads that are much better than the stock OEM pads and in many cases can cost quite a bit less.
