hopefully you got a 3.5 ho cause the motor is not the prob its your tranny
goto the salvage yard and buy the trans cpu it bad because it will not shift out of low gear i had the same problem and solve my problem and the repair i took it to in elgin tx they wanted 1300.oo to fix it and i did it my self . it is located on the passager side under the air breather.
