Check your thermostat. It may not be opening up at temperature. Another thing could be a bad water pump. See if you can determine where water is coming from.

Leaking isn't the only thing that can cause overheating in a car. It's possible that the thermostat has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

Yes, if it is leaking and the coolant level is low.

If it is not actually over heating, then if the smell is outside the car, look for coolant leaks around the head and the thermostat cover. Inside the car could be a leaking heater coil.

This is caused by low coolant levels in most instances.

User Avatar

if you are leaking gas, one of your fuel lines is leaking. Locate where it is leaking from. DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR IN THIS CONDITION. if it overflowed at the pump out of the fuel door, it may been a faulty pump.

User Avatar

Well, it could be several different problems, To begin with I would check your oil and oil pressure. Then I would make sure you have antifreeze in it that is properly diluted. 50% antifreeze 50% water. If you add all antifreeze this will cause premature corrosion and also overheating. Be sure to check all fluid levels and be sure that your vehicle is not leaking any fluids
