No- the V-8 weight is more. If you are up grading to a V-8 the front springs and sway bar should be up graded. springs and sway bar are usually thicker in diameter and the springs might be taller. Their are other factors that are involved hear, such as if the car will be used for different types of service such as rally racing or drag racing. ALSO you might want to think about the rear axle,if the car is going to be driven hard you'll want to up grade the axle assembly.
Yes
They're the same motor
yes
There is no such car as a 2009 Camaro. GM just came out with a 2010 Camaro which is now available. Before that the last Camaro was made in 2002. 403H.P. from the 6.2 liter V8. Actually the 6.2 liter V8 with stick has 426 HP, I also believe the automatic version has 420 HP with the same motor. Someone would have to answer for the six cylinder versions.
I have the same problem in my 96 Z28 convertible. I tried replacing shocks & suspension bushes, but the squeaking remains. I think it's the soft top itself.
Exact same suspension, wheel base, motor, transmissions, gear ratios....ect. They are the exact same. Just depends on who is driving. /\ WRONG They have the same power rating, depending if its and auto of stick the gear may be different, manuals get the larger gear more often and there for would be faster, however the camaro has a 100 lb advantage which is a tenth of a second on the track, so it can vary depending on the specific car.
A neon uses a 4 cylinder, an Intrepid uses a 6 cylinder, plus there wasn't a 1990 Intrepid.
95% the same yes. The Vette had 4 bolt mains vs the Camaro/Firebird 2 Bolt Mains and the vette had SLIGHTLY better intake/exhaust. All in all the Vette Lt1 developed about 25hp more than the Camaro/Firebird version (which can EASILY be caught up to)
I assume that cylinder " D " is the same thing as cylinder 4 firewall 4 - 8 3 - 7 2 - 6 1 - 5 front
The 86' Z28 comes stock with a 5.0 or 302 their both the same engine. a 1986 chevy camaro does not come with a 302 its a 305 a 302 is a ford motor not a che y motor know your facts i am a camaro fanatic i know these things about them plus i own a 1986 chevy camaro irocz z28 and its all original with the 305 4barrel carb thats how it should be btw mine has the t-tops in it
depending on the vehicle it may fit for instance if you have a 71 camaro or fire bird it would fit in a 80 camaro or firebird since the cars are basically the same but for other models you would have to measure the rear ends from drum to drum (outside) and make sure that it is either made for a leaf sping type suspension or a control arm suspension
the recent variations of the 3.9 v6 magnum , the 5.2 and 5.9 v8 magnums are all the same bolt pattern.
