The new TV ads for Denny's restaurants was created by advertising agent Glover & Potter, which uses music to accompany the food.

In one spot, the featured tune is the upbeat, easygoing ditty "Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind?" by The Lovin' Spoonful, and another ad is built on top of the classic tune "Do You Love Me?" by The Contours, and another spot features the Country Music song "Chattahoochee" by Alan Jackson, and more songs like "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett, "It Must Be Love" by Don Williams, and "Rubberneckin" by Elvis Presley from the 1969 movie Change Of Habit.

As the songs play, the screen comes alive with a series of breakfast "-ings", images of popping, pouring, scrambling, flipping, spreading, and powdering, with each "-ing" action keeping time with the music.

What makes the words in the ads, known in the trade as "On-screen texts", which run between the mouth-watering images of food shots.

One 30-second spot combines the "-ing" action with a bed of music, using the "Work, Work" chorus of the Contours hit.

Pouring, popping, and scrambling, is followed by an on screen text reading "Everybody's working harder these days".

More "-ings" are followed by another on screen text that tells us, "And Denny's is no exception".

More pouring, popping, and scrambling ensue are succeeded by another on screen text reading "Even the chickens are working overtime".

Finally, in the last scene, a bunch of overworked chickens are shown churning out as many eggs are chickenly possible.
