Well it is one of the major drawback of Hindu religion in my view that female are domenated by males in this religion they are not permitted to take decissions of even of their own life and are bound to the rules made by male dominant society
Allthough in Hindu religion in the sacred books like ramayana it has been written that women should be respected over all but it does not occur in reality at least in typical Hindu family of India.
But now this tradition is chaning fast and women do start standing with mens in developing part of India which is the country of majority of hindus
