medicare does not cover mental issues. It also does not cover foot issues - go figure.
Medicaid will only go back three months prior to when you started receiving it. FOR EXAMPLE: If you have a doctor or hospital bill from December of 2009, and then start receiving Medicaid in March of 2010, then yes, Medicaid would pay for the December bill. BUT, had you gone to the doctor in November, and then received Medicaid the following March, that bill would not be covered because they will only go back three months.
yes you can ii just did. medicaid will cover any medical bills acquired 3 months prior to applying at the ER.... as long as you qualify
Unfortunately it won't. You should be able to find a .pdf of the covered medications on the Medicaid website for the state you have it through. I have it in Illinois and I have to purchase generic Adderall because it isn't covered. However, if you go to a warehouse like Costco or Sams Club (or even Walmart) your cost for generic Adderall will be rather minimal. I paid $30 this past weekend at Costco for 60 tablets of 15mg'.
Yes Colorado Medicaid will cover the lap band surgery. I called Medicaid a few days ago to ask the same question I was told they will cover the whole thing as long as your doctor states it's medically necessary and the first step is to have your doctor send them the forms and then you have to wait and see if they will approve it or not .Good luck hope this answers you question.
In this situation, your marriage should not affect your Medicaid eligibility.
Yes, if you are working and can't live without your paycheck. Be careful that you buy too much of it as medicaid can request funds/benefits be paid to them. I've never seen it interfere with the continuing qualification of medicaid as well but again you don't want to buy a bunch of it. If you are medicaid, you probably won't be able to afford enough medicaid to make a difference. And don't forget to cover spouse and/or child if you have them...if they go into the hospital or ICU then you will most likely not be able to go to work and could potential interrupt your income indirectly.

To some extent. Call Medicaid and find out. There are many free places to receive this care though. In our area we have Marquette dental college. You may wish to check local dental colleges, they are always looking for people.
to the State agency that granted the Medicaid.
If you live in New York State, you can go to the website www.health.ny.gov/health_care/Medicaid/ which is part of the Health Services department to apply for Medicaid. All states have similar websites.
Medicaid should pick up anything that Medicare doesn't pay for.
