Answer 1

I thought no, they always seemed as only normal country in Middle East , that is until I came here, my husband is Israeli , we met few years ago, married but when we wanted to live in Israel, problems started. They said I don't have the right to live in Israel with my husband because I am not Jewish and they thought I want to come to Israel to work , which is stupid, I had much better conditions in my own country, my husband's job is the only reason we came +some family stuff, I am baptized but we are both atheists, and they treated me really bad. Getting a staying permit is much harder than you think, but we somehow went trough that, spent lot of nerves and money, but hey, at least I am with him now. So, people in Israel don't mistreat Christians, at least they never did it to me, there are lot of Russians here, etc. But their interior officers do not welcome them/us and they are making life harder for them, than it should be. My opinion.

Answer 2

No country has the right to mistreat people simply on the basis of having a different religion. In Israel there is no widespread Anti-Christian attitudes and the government actively prevents violence against Christians within the country. It is for this reason that Israel is the only country in the Middle East where the number of Christians continues to grow according to official numbers. (Arab countries do not admit that some Muslims in the Middle East convert to Christianity.) The above story in Answer 1, while presumably truthful, concerns Immigration applications and the interior ministry. Immigrating to any country requires a lot of paperwork and hassle. Israel, like Armenia, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, and several other countries, allows its chosen ethnic group (Jews in the case of Israel) to immigrate more easily than other ethnic groups. However, this is not "mistreatment of Christians" since there is no animus directed at Christians per se.
