Yahoo is a web portal containing links to more topics, e-mail, web search, news, web pages, answers, etc.. WikiAnswers is only designed to handle answers, but is better designed, and less ad cluttered. It is subjective. WikiAnswers is probably better than Yahoo Answers; Yahoo as a whole is more useful.

No way! WikiAnswers is a whole lot more fun! (Opinion, please don't get mad) There are SPAs, Supervisors, WITs, et cetera, that Yahoo! doesn't have.

(Yahoo Answers displays more than one answer and the contributor of each answer.) WikiAnswers is NOT Yahoo Answers, they are two completely different sites with different aims and reliability. Yahoo Answers is mainly a community site to air varying input on a range of topics, not provide the direct and specific answer to a question. For opinion answers, there are many sites. For factual or experience-derived answers, there are comparatively few with the scope of WikiAnswers.
Why don't people use Yahoo Answers instead?

They are both good, but it depends upon what you are looking for. WikiAnswers is better if you want answers from a dictionary or encyclopedia or something. Yahoo!Answers is better if you want answers for something else random or about relationships or something. You can also edit your question more on Yahoo! Answers, and get points for answering questions. ^ if wikianswers were just about dictionaries etc, whats with the categories?

Answers can evolve over time, as opposed to only having to be entered within a few days of the initial question. Yahoo Answers has much more false/unhelpful answers, and much more spam. User Powers On Yahoo Answers, every user is treated equally in terms of powers, but there are limits to how much one can do each day depending on the level they are at. One vote counts as one vote. On Wiki Answers, supervisor powers trump regular users. Previewing Answers On Yahoo Answers, you can preview your answer; on Wiki Answers, you can not.
