What is downstream in electrical?

The terminology down stream refers to an electrical circuit and where devices are connected into the circuit. In reference to the breaker that feeds the circuit everything is down stream from it. If a GFCI receptacle is added into the circuit as the first device, the GFCI can be wired to allow all of the regular receptacles to be protected down stream from that GFCI. Every device added to the circuit will be down stream from the one that is ahead of it. The only device that will not have something down stream from it will be the last device in the circuit.

What is the difference between these low energy light bulb screw top and regular light bulbs?

Maybe no difference, you can get the same bulb in different fittings, e.g. Edison-screw, Bayonet, Small Edison screw, miniature bayonet.

Blew the 100 amp fuse on a 1997 tracer what could have casued this?

I think there could be two main causes for this. I'm guessing you are referring the 100 amp fusible link...looks like a regular fuse, only larger? Age is one cause. Also, you could have a short somewhere in your electrical system. Did you use jumper cables lately? If those are reversed while jumping someone else off, you can blow out that fusible link.

Is there a bayonet that would open or separate by spring or lever meant to tear up internal organs?

I have never seen any photos or heard of one mentioned in any books. A bayonet like that would be totally impractical in close combat, because once the bayonet was in it would be virtually impossible to get out. A regular bayonet was hard enough to remove, and soldiers were told not serrate their bayonets, because that alone made removal incredibly difficult.

Is there a fusible link in a 1968 Pontiac LeMans If so...where?

There should be a fusible link on the car. There will be two small wires that mount to the starter solenoid. The last few inches of these should be fusible link. A lot of times these are missing. When they do their job and "melt" a lot of guys just replace them with regular wire. Most any auto parts store carry fusible link. You can buy it in pre-cut pieces or in a roll just like any other wire. Hope that helps.

Can you mount a GI Desert M-10 Bayonet to and m-4 carbine?

Any AR bayonet will work, but civilian "Mforgeries" typically can't properly mount a bayonet. The M4 has a 14.5 inch barrel. Civilian models have a 16 inch barrel, in order to be compliant with the NFA. Yet, they don't adjust the position of the bayonet lug, so the end result is that the mounting rin on the bayonet is too far back to fit around the flash suppressor. A mid-length with an 18" barrel will properly mount a bayonet, as will a regular configuration AR with the 20" barrel, but the only way you'll properly mount one on an Mforgery is is you have the 14.5 inch barrel with a permanently pinned and welded flash suppressor or muzzle brake which brings the total barrel length to 16" (and there are some made for this purpose - a regular A2 birdcage will not do it).

Where is the fusible link on a 1972 Pontiac ventura 307?

There will be two smaller wires that mount to the starter solenoid. These mount to the same post on the solenoid as the battery cable. The last few inches of this wire is fusible link. Many times the link melts and people will replace it with regular wire. It's there to protect your vehicle wiring. If it's missing, I highly recommend replacing it with fusible link.

What are the different kinds of electrical receptacle?

The most common types are the regular type, where the only over current protection is provided by the breaker panel. the other most common type is the GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) This type has a built in "circuit breaker" so when it senses a fault in the circuit it trips-this type is the safest as they are more sensitive than circuit breakers in the breaker panel.See related links below.
