well depends when it broke, where you trying to crank it or where you running 70 mph when it broke.if it broke trying to crank, probably ok. if it happened at 70 mph. probably major damage. That is why they state change belt every 60,000 miles.
not necessarily... if it has a 2.0 DOHC engine.. its non interference.. and it wont damage anything.. mine broke at 55 MPH.. and no problem.. just tow home and replace belt time appropriately and u should be fine..
Yes, the 1999 Kia Sportage with 2.0L DOHC is an "interference" engine, meaning the valves can hit the pistons if the timing belt broke.
check timing belt, sounds to me like it may be broken
car is broken and needs major repairs but is still financed how do pay for the repairs
The first generation Sportage (1994-2002) with 2 liter DOHC was not interference. A broken timing belt will generally not result in engine damage and replacing the belt (don't forget the pulleys and water pump) will get you back on the road.
An orthopedist or orthopedic surgeon repairs broken legs.
how do you set timing on a 92 geo prizm if timing belt has broken
The only fix for broken timing belt or chain is to replace it.
Contact Nintendo and get it in for Repairs.
Is your timing belt broken?
If the timing belt is broken the vehicle will not start.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TURN THE ENGINE OVER IF YOU SUSPECT A BROKEN TIMING BELT !!!!!! If you have, you already have more problems than a broken timing belt. Remove the upper timing belt cover and physically look at the timing belt.
