Some married man might but they will never admit it because of the pride and dignity that they have. The only person that might know is the mistress. If the married man fell in love with his mistress because everything is new, different than what he have with his old wife, yes he will think and missed her.
With the mistress, gosh she will be thinking of her ex lover. She will missed the time that they spend together away from his family and friends. There are some mistress that will have hard time when her affair is over. When you loose someone you love, your heart will break either you are the wife or the mistress.

The relationship is over and he is back with his wife and he will not risk his wife leaving him so no, if he can help it he will try to stay away from his ex mistress as much as possible. Speaking from personal experience, he would probably stop talking to that mistress and lose passionate feelings for her in a short time-span. But, he would most likely find another(maybe even the same) mistress in a while, due to his lack of feelings for his wife.

Honestly, all it probably means is that he still is physically attracted to his mistress(which doesn't last, if it isn't more). Maybe things aren't going well at home (go figure... he got caught cheating!) But, it definitely isn't true love. Everyone deserves true love! If it were true love, he (a)would have left his wife when he realized that SHE was not his true love, and/or (b)wouldn't be LOOKING at his mistress, but TALKING to her!
