Generally speaking, the tyre section (width across the sidewalls) is stated clearly on the sidewall. It should not be less than 90% of the rim width or more than 1.4 times the rim width. The nominal diameter of rim and tyre must be the same. Bert Meinders
You can not mix different size tires and rims. The tire has to be the same size as the rim.
Sometimes, if bolt pattern is same and there is enough room, - but I wouldn't recommend it.
You can get any size rim you want as long as it fits inside your tire. If the tire is a 22x14, you need 14" rims.
You can use ANY size rim made with the same lug patteren. However ofcoures the larger the rim the smaller the tire. Most if not all tire dealers can tell you the combinations Tire/rim that will fit.
Actually the tire size is slightly bigger on the pontiac. This is my question I just posted. I need to know if the rims interchange.
the last # on your tire is the size rim you need for that tire 295 50 15 /15 inch rim I am sure you know it must be a 15" rim and were asking about the width of the rim. You need at least a 9" wide rim but a 10" would be even better to avoid tire bulge.
Shouldn't be a problem if the rim size is the same.
The way to do that is to change the sidewall height of the tire also. You want an 18" tire with the same overall diameter as the 17" tire.
Yes, as long as the tire size are the same size... If your refering to rim size then... Yes, they will as long as there are the same bolt pattened. Depending on years too..
15inch rim.31=tall10.5=wideR15 diameter or rim size.
The "doughnut" rim, NO.
you are not giving the whole info for the SUV. But if it is 15" 16" or 17" You need to have 10"inch rim. GOOD LUCK:-)
