∙ 7y agoI honestly think this depends on the person. It is a very difficult thing to cope with but a strong personality may break through the emotional downfall, while others may hold a grudge for the rest of their lives.

It depend on how bad the betrayal is. If her husband fell in love with this other woman, it will be hard to accept knowing that the wife thought it will be her and only her that he can love. No one can completely get over the pain of the husbands affair, especially if the wife never did anything to deserve it.
All she can do is try to forget and hopefully the flashback of the husband's affair doesn't come back often. The only thing that we all can do is live day by day and let time heal the pain. We may not forget what he did, but in time our pain will go away.
