Does anyone have a diagram of the door lock assembly for a 97 Sonata GLS The front passenger door lock assembly spring has broken and need the springs position.?

The spring you're talking about was more or less an inch in length and a 1/4" in diameter. If you guide your fingers (gently though... there maybe some sharp objects) to the inside panel of the door, you'll feel that hook that fits to that spring, and it sits directly horizontal to the other visible hook.

Drum brake I assume, the adjuster is located at the six o'clock position of the assembly when you get the drum off. The adjuster mechanisms seize up and fail after a decade or two, so get a kit for the brakes with springs and all, you won't regret it.
