I have never heard of using baking soda for this reason but I guess it would work. Baking soda, aka sodium bicarbonate, helps regulate pH-keeping a substance neither too acidic nor too alkaline. When baking soda comes in contact with either an acidic or an alkaline substance, it's natural effect is to neutralize that pH. Beyond that, baking soda has the ability to retard further changes in the pH balance. The best way to enhance Adderall is to get proper nutrition and take alkalines just before it to enhance the absorption. You want to stay away from Acidic materials especially Vitamin C which will slow the absorption and eat away at the adderall while it's inside of you, but I have learned this is the best thing to do if you accidently take too much adderall at one time and want to calm it down a bit just take 20-40 mg of some form of Vitamin C. While everyone metabolizes drugs differently, the average person only absorbs about half of the Adderall in an oral dose. How much actually gets in your blood depends on the pH level of your body, or how acidic or alkaline you are. The more acidic your body is, the less Adderall you'll absorb. Sodium Bicarbonate, which is better known as Baking Soda, is an alkalinizing agent. The instructions for use as an antacid are on the box, and taking it as recommended shortly before and/or with Adderall increases the effects and the duration of the Adderall. Becaues charged particles are absorbed more slowly, taking adderall with a Ph below 7 and acidic with cause the drug to get absorbed slowly allowing for the drug to brake down in your stomach. Adderall gets absorbed faster when the intestine is basic (above pH of 7). So to increase effectiveness of adderall you should take it on an empty stomach and with a little taking baking soda (one teaspoon) or potassium citrate (Tums) a little before taking adderall (5-10 min) to create a pH above 7. Doing this will increase the drugs concentration more rapidly and make the effects last longer.
