In bread is kept in a fridge versus a plastic bag mold will grow less quickly. The reason for this is that mold grows best in a warmer temperatures.

Putting bread in an airtight bag, such as a Ziploc bag, slows the rate of mold growth. Putting the bag in the fridge or freezer slows mold even more.

See the FRESH UNTIL/GOOD UNTIL date on the outside of the package? Add a week to that and then talk to me about what color the fresh mold is that's growing

bread does not mold fast in a ziplock bag because the ziploc bag is air-tight, slowing the process of molding.
