what is submarine cable
Dial-up is dead, DSL is struggling and cable internet services are thriving, but with all of that being said, is cable internet still the best option for your personal internet use? Ever since cable internet came along, cable companies have had a distinct advantage in internet service because of a few different reasons. First of all most people were familiar with their cable provider, while companies like AOL stole the dial-up spotlight to begin with, cable companies easily swooped in with the advent of cable internet. Secondly cable internet was faster than the vast majority of the competition; this gave them another inherent advantage. Lastly, cable was able to bundle their cable television service with cable internet service to provider a combined price and a combined bill. They have now added digital phone service to make their price even that much more competitive. There are some disadvantages that cable does have however. First of all most cable internet providers do not offer any type of mobile broadband service. For those people who like to have their internet with them at any time and in any place, cable companies are not meeting their current demand. Cell phone companies are swooping in and offering mobile broadband service that uses their cell phone signal. This is an area where cable companies are not matching up. Cable is also slightly less secure than most DSL services; however this generally is not a breaking point for most consumers. While new internet technology is on the horizon, cable internet still generally offers the fastest service in most areas. Cable internet does vary by provider and by geographical area, so while this information is correct for most areas, it is a generalization. DSL internet service is still the lower priced option, but is less likely to have any sort of bundle available and in most areas is slower. If you do not use cable or phone service than DSL becomes a more likely option for you, but for most people, in most area, cable internet providers are still king of the hill.
Your laptop must have either an Ethernet or WiFi-capable card; if you have a plan for which you can use your cell phone as an internet access point, you would usually also require a special cable to connect the phone to a USB port in your computer, or at the very least, a Bluetooth or infrared-capable card.
You dont have to pay through the Netbook, but the owner of the wireless access point / internet cable must pay £ ?? a month depending on the provider
Yes, you can.
conductivity between point A and point B/ signal is clear
The definition of a bridging point is where something goes through something to connect. Diagram: Computer with no internet > Computer with internet >> Internet. The bridging point would be between the first ">" and the ">>" means both computers are now recieving internet. For example in computing: some computers do not have a wireless device installed, so to bridge a computer to a computer that has wireless you need a CABLE, the computer that is connected to the internet-enabled computer would be the bridge, and the start point would be between the computer that has not got internet, to the one that has. Hope this helps, and that you can understand it.
If the computer network is to have internet, then you would need a modem connected via a phone line or cable connection. Then the modem is usually connected to a Router, that in turn connects to a "Switch". All the computers then connect to the Switch through ethernet cable (cat5 or cat6). One computer is often designated as the "Server", a central point to hold the programs and data for the other computers (clients) to use. INTERNET --> MODEM--> ROUTER --> SWITCH --> SERVER --> COMPUTERS (In some cases, the router can also serve as the switch as well).
You Can't Just use Wi-fi -_- point blank -_-
the first connect your mobile through data cable on computer and make a connection the name was the connection is "My Mobile" and the user name is your phone number with country code the passwords are your sim name and must have net connection on your computer .Then go to mobile and create new asses point and the flowing option was you put in this connection: A.p.n=My mobile phone ip address is your computer ip adressfor example 192.168.1.1 save it and enjoy
You would need the download software for that phone and the programming cable, the buffer can be downloaded from the phone so long as the phone is not damaged to the point it can't be powered up.
No, but you are going to need a wireless router, also known as an access point, between the laptop and the cable modem.
