Yes, in most states you have to keep paying until the child turns 19 if they are still enrolled in a state accredited school. I am actually going through this in the state of Ohio. My child turned18 on August 25 and is still in school but has moved in with her boyfriend and I now have grounds to terminate my child support order. If necessary you should be prepared to do any investigative work on your own time and money because they do not go any farther than a phone call to the school and the payee.
Child support obligations end at the time stated in the support order. Either the order will stipulate a specific age or it will state "at the age of majority" which in Illinois is 18. It would be a wise choice for the obligated parent to contact the court to be certain he or she is taking the correct action when ending support payments.

Child Support Age-At what age does child support stop and what steps need to be taken to bring this about?
It would depend on the child's age but Yes if your child is still enrolled in highschool. You can stop if your child turns 18 and has graduated from highschool but if your child turns 18 and is still in highschool then you'll have to pay support until the child graduates highschool or turns 19 whatever happens first.

Dont thinkso, the kids 18 it can get money and pay for itself
At 18, you are no longer considered a child for child support purposes unless you have not graduated high school or are disabled. If the child is 18 and out of high school, you must contact the Texas AG to stop child support.
It certainly depends on your local laws but usually when the child you are paying support for turns the age of majority, does not live at the home anymore or drops out of school the support payments are to stop. I would check as soon as possible with your local laws as well check your age of majority - you may be intitled to receive some money back.
Yes, if you have been ordered to pay child support. The courts/child support agency presumably know the CP's whereabouts. Also, the support might be owed to the State.
Child support is paid until either the child turns 18, or until graduation, whichever comes later.

You wont have to pay child support IF the child was adoption by another man, but if the child was not you will have to pay until the child turns 18. You will have to pay back any back support you owe. Hope this helped you a little
of course ...
You are obligated to support your child from the day he was born until he turns 18.
Yes, you will still have to pay child support because you are the mother or father of the child, and that makes you still pay child support.
In Louisiana you pay child support until the child is 18 or 19 years of age. If the child is still in high school at the time when he or she turns 18, you would pay until the child is 19 and out of school.
