yes, in fact some chocolate was recalled because it had as high as 4.5 ppm (parts per million) lead. It is a risk to eat, but so are a lot of foods. I'd say stick to a brand you trust, buy a lead testing kit, or just have chocolate on special occasions. Hope this helps!
Chocolate does not contain lead in it.
Only if the chocolate is accidentally contaminated.
Yes it does. The person who said no was wrong. Chocolate actually has a relatively high lead contamination issue.
Mr. Randy Watson!
In 2006, "Dagoba" dark-chocolate was the subject of an FDA recall for lead, but the October 2008 "Pirate's Gold" coins from China were contaminated with melamine. Both cases seem to be isolated incidents due to negligence by the manufacturers, and most brands of chocolate coins were not involved.
Chocolate is poisonous to every dog breed and may kill them. Yorkshire Terriers are no different. If you have already given chocolate to your Yorkie then don't give any more. An overdose will lead to early death.
Expired chocolate will not give you the same type of illness of eating cheese with mold, yet eating expired chocolate can lead to stomach aches.
you shoudn't eat chocolate or crisps because their really fattening and if you eat too uch it could lead to heart disease abut some is ok.
Calcium and Phosphorous
This kind of stuff has been going on for decades.
Some may be violent with just a chocolate bar and some others for large sums of money.
Chocolate is toxic to dogs and can cause the dog to die. This is because dogs are very sensitive to a toxin in chocolate called theobromine. Incidentally, this is also toxic to humans, but there isn't enough in most chocolates to cause a problem for humans. Theobromine is related to caffeine and is a stimulant. In dogs it can cause heart arrhythmias and heart palpatations, which can lead to death.
