If the notch on the top of the pistion is pointing to the rear, Then the pistion is installed wrong. If you keep puting the pistions in you will come to one that will no fit on the crankshaft. All notches MUST point to the front.
Number one cylinder is located driver's side front of engine. With the # 1 piston at TDC on the compression stroke, the rotor will be pointing at #1 plug on cap.Number one cylinder is located driver's side front of engine. With the # 1 piston at TDC on the compression stroke, the rotor will be pointing at #1 plug on cap.
It's the front (front of the engine is front of the car) piston on the right side of the engine.
piston should have an arrow on the top .It should be pointing toward the exhaust pipe or the front of machine.
When the # 1 piston is at TDC on the compression stroke, the rotor is pointing to at the # 1 position on the cap. # 1 cylinder is on driver's side, at front of engine.
It would be the one closest to the front.
Cylinder #1 is always the piston closest to the front of the engine(on a transverse mounted engine the side with the belts is the front). If it is a "V" style engine then you will notice that One cylinder head sits closer to the front of the engine than the other. The front cylinder on that side will be number 1.
There is only one piston in Tractor. It is on the engine, which is on the front side.
Passengers side front cylinder on engine is #1.Passengers side front cylinder on engine is #1.
On the air cooled VW Type 1 engine the notch is pointing directly to the right as you are facing the engine and the front of the vehicle.
They are numbered from the front of the engine to the rear 1-2-3-4
