I would say that might be the case but it the relief you feel may be the fact that you have gotten out of the abusive relationship but you may still feel some attachment to him as a person,the one you fell in love with,the one you knew before the abuse started.Yes you feel that a burbon gas been lifted because you no longer feel the fear of being hit but again you may still have feelings for the guy you fell in love with,not the guy he became.If you have any future questions on this pleae feel free to contact me at mrcriss1@juno.com
