== == In Mexico City the last snowfall was on January 12, 1967, at that time it snowed in the city itself. Mexico City's downtown got 2 inches of snow and 5 inches at the mountains around the city, after that snowfall in 1967, it only snows yearly in the mountains around the city. There was a previous record snowfall in Mexico City downtown that was on March 5, 1940.
It depends on the locale. For example, it almost never snows in Spain's southernmost territories, like the Canary Islands, Ceuta, or Melilla. Also it does not usually get cold enough to snow in most lowland areas in the south, such as Almería or Seville. However, in more elevated places in the south such as the Sierra Nevada or Grenada, it does snow. It also can snow in more northern areas of Spain, especially if they are mountainous or hilly, like Galicia, Basque country, or Catalonia (including the outskirts of Barcelona).
However, snow is not common in most regions of Spain, much like it is uncommon in the US state of Virginia. Additionally, with the exception of Galicia, precipitation in Spain in general is relatively low, so the odds of snowfall decrease there.
It depends on the location but yes, in a lot of places it does snow in chritmas. I'm Portuguese and an outdoorsman and I love to visit Spain. Last time I went there was in May, I went to the Sanabria lake natural park and there was some snow in the mountains.

Accommodation is a primary factor for a more enjoyable stay in every destination. Spain is a favorite winter destination. When everything is covered with snow it is but surprising that Spain weather is accommodating. For a more relax vacation perhaps try a luxury apartment in this country.
