Technically, kikyo doesn't help Naraku kill Inuyasha because naraku never really kills Inuyasha. But, in one of the episodes in 2nd series, Kikyo steals Kagome's jewel shards and gives them to Naraku making him stronger.

I think Inuyasha likes Kagome better, she stays with him, and Kikyo constantly disappears.I also believe that Inuyasha is more attached to Kagome, but he does not flirt with anyone. Kikyo and Inuyasha had an unhealthy relationship. They had both been deprived of someone to talk to, someone to love and trust them for so long that they latched onto each other. Besides, Kikyo could never fully accept Inuyasha's half-demon side. She wanted him to use the Shikon Jewel shards to become a full human and marry her. Kagome always accepted Inuyasha for who he was, and taught him the healthier ways to love people, as friends or lovers. She never made him choose between the two of them, either, as Kikyo often tried to do.But, in the end, it's a moot point. Kikyo died and Inuyasha was left with Kagome, whom he married. Who knows who he would have chosen if Kikyo had lived? Well, I mean it would have been difficult for him to choose Kikyo. She died twice, but I feel he would have chosen Kagome, because she never tried to kill him or drag him down to hell with her.Kikyo also once thought Inuyasha purposedly betrayed her because Inuyasha tried to steal the Shikon Jewel.Wow that is a lot, but I do want to add something. KIKYO WANTS TO KILL INUYASHA!!! Why does everyone hate Kikyo?
Everyone hates her mainly because she never loved Inuyasha for him. A lot of people say she does, but never made sense when she asked Inuyasha to be human when she knew Inuyasha hated his human side more then being a half-demon. It was a selfish thing because even though she loved him, she didn't want to be seen with him as half-demon. On top of that, there has been occasional betrayal moments when she helped out Naraku and tried to kill Kagome at one point to. Although Kikyo can be good and show her kind side, many people refuse to look past what she has done.
