It depends on a lot of factors.
If you by malnutrition mean no feeding at all then yes!
But if you mean decreased nutrition of any of the macromolecules (am. ac., carboh., lipids etc.) there's a golden rule. Example: If the enzymes that are used to break down carbohydrates are no longer needed because a person no longer eats carbohydrates they will be downregulated. This is due to hormonal factors (in this case decreased insulin release from beta-cells in the Langerhans Islands of the endocrine pancreas). There's a different story for fats, but same principle.
fever
It decrease the metabolic rate. This is because Metabolic actually produce heat, if you are in fever state, the body will slow down rate of metabolic as less heat will be produced.
Chocolate, scrisp, load'sa mcdonalds
a decrease in resting heart rate
Well metabolic rate can be decreased in many ways and one way is having a higher proportion of fat to muscle. Also ecxercising increases the rate.
it will decrease
No sleeping does not increase your metabolic rate . However, when you are asleep your body will burn less calories than it would if your were Up and Moving around .
decrease in hunger and a decrease in its metabolic rate
Eventually cells of the body would die....as the metabolic rate would decrease as thyroxine, released by thyroid gland, controls metabolic rate.
You resting metabolism rate will decrease as you weight decreases. That is because a higher body mass will take more energy to function, thus resulting in a higher metabolism rate.
the liver has a higher metabolic rate
The rate of Metabolism, or metabolic rate.
