Deforestation affects Bengal Tigers for the following reasons:

-> they are driven out of their habitat and have no where to live, and hence die out

-> Their prey is also driven out, and they have nothing to eat

-> tigers resort to hunting and eating human prey once their prey disappears, and this causes many unnecessary lives to be taken- helpless villagers living in rural areas and the tiger itself

AND so deforestation (and poaching)is causing the Bengal tiger is die out..!!

I hope my answer helped =]

The tiger is really an animal of the north, having originated in Siberia and north Asia. They are still adapting to the tropics, and the warmer climate has increased their love for water. They will swim readily, and lie in water for hours to escape the heat.

Many things done by humans are impacting Tiger population. They are:

  1. Human activity like logging and deforestation - which is reducing tiger habitats
  2. Human hunting & poaching which is killing dozens of animals ever year.

Hunting is the biggest threat. Ancient Chinese Medicine believes that Tigers body parts have medicinal properties. Because of this Tigers were killed extensively and indiscriminately. Because of this, they were pushed to near extinction. India, China and all neighboring countries where the Bengal Tiger lives have banned hunting and so, the tiger population is slowly recovering
