Depends if your butt is fat or muscle-if its fat-then aerobic exercise along with low fat diet will reduce size. If muscle-avoid those muscle building exercises that focus on buttocks-ie cycling, stairmaster etc-opt for running, treadmill, rowers, etc
It makes your butt more tight and toned. You will look more fit witch is more appealing than just a big butt. A full squat will work your glutes rather than just a half squat. But yes overtime it will make it bigger.
Squats will tone and strengthen the glutes. Whether or not it makes the butt bigger depends on the person. However, if you currently have a small/flat butt, it is one of the best exercises for it, and it certainly made mine bigger and better shaped.
Well there could be several causes to bigger legs.
1. There are three distinct body types- Endomorph, Mesomorph and Ectomorph. Endomorphs are bigger boned and gain body fat easily. They gain muscle normally. Mesomorphs are medium-large boned and gain muscle very easily, both men and women. The weight gain you are experiencing is likely muscle gain. Ectomorphs are USUALLY very thin (although there ARE overweight ectos like myself) and have trouble building muscle.
You could be a endo, meso or both.
2. Your diet. Do you eat a lot of meat/chicken/fish? Those foods have a lot of protein in them that builds muscles as well. If you eat primarily vegetables and do the same exercise, you won't build muscles NEARLY as easily. With no meat protein, muscle is near impossible to build up. Your body will use the fat you already have to try to maintain the muscle it is trying to build.
Depending on your weight when starting out, in some cases yes. If you are on the heavier side your buttocks is most likely to slim down opposed to a person who is already lean, running is a great fat burner and muscle toner so it works in that order, it burns fat then tones muscle so a skinny person who has no fat goes straight to the MUSCLE toning step, get it? I've been running for over a year now if your interested in running it does wonders!
Some exercises (such as cardio) are for trying to make it smaller and firmer (less body fat overall).
You do have two big muscles back there (the gluteus maximus AKA "the glutes"), and yes, exercise will make those muscles bigger. Have a look at a pro speed skater or downhill skier for instance, and you'll see some good examples of good development. But it's a lot of hard work to get them to grow noticeably. Pick up skating as a hobby and an exercise and it'll happen "naturally". Or sign up for a gym, and ask for instructions on how to work the glutes.
alot of people are asking this question''do squats really make your butt bigger''?the answer is no squats do not make your butt bigger for the simple fact that a squat is a type of excersise and ussaully what does exersises do for you. they ussally make you skinner right well that is exactly what a squat does to your but is make your butt smaller
Eat more and do more squats
Squats. Lots of them. Also the elliptical REALLY helps.
Squats, swimming, wall sits
Wait until your 18 & your butt will be bigger.
Low bar back squats, when done properly, work your glutes. So yes, they will definitely make your butt bigger. Front squats and high bar back are more quadricep focused, so they will have less glute activation.
Squats, squats and more squats. Heavier weight and less repetitons (3-6 reps per set). But be warned, first it will get smaller, then along with your quads and hamstrings, you butt will get bigger due to you building more muscle in that area.
Squats, Jumping jacks, Lunges
Do weighted squats!! Trust me, they work!!
Exercise can help build the muscle in your butt, but you need to remember things like squats and lunges will not help you make your butt bigger.
Doing squats helps alot.
squats and lunges
