Yes, we should really separate soft water from soften water, soft water is a naturally occurring thing where the hardness never got into the water similar to rain water, soften water is water that has been artificially soften in some form. In some parts of the world primarily Western Europe, they don't allow you to have totally soft water because it's somewhat aggressive in nature and has a tendency to dissolve in it some of the metals that are used in pipes so especially if there's galvanize pipe which contains cadmium, the installer or the manufacturer of the equipment actually builds it in a way to add a grainer to the hardness to prevent that from happening.
Soft water contain salt only in traces.
Can I use soft water in a fish tank
By distillation pure water is obtained.
The type of water you use in your fish bowl depends on the type of fish you plan to put in the bowl. You can use tap water, soft water and bottled water in a fish tank.
The simple answer is yes.
To clean the pump or motor of your fish tank, just rinse with water. If you use chemicals or soaps it will most likely kill the fish or damage it tremendously. just rinse it well with water and you will have a nice and clean pump for your fish tank.
take the fish out immedietly and drain the water. after you have drain the water wipe the inside of the tank with water. DO NOT USE SOAP TO CLEAN THE TANK, ONLY WATER. after you have done all of this clean out your filter and put a new filter sheet inside of the filter.
Depends what fish you want to keep in it.
Home use often has a tank for the water, but the RO is the same. Many people often add a DI unit for their fish tank, but this is not used for home. In addition, sometimes, the RO membrane people use for fish tank is one designed to remove more silicates and this is not needed at home. Having said all that, the home RO water is fine for fish tanks!
if you just bought the fish let the water in the bowl sit out for about 24hours before putting it in. But make sure that your water has no chlorine in it. NO tap water. If you use tap water you have to get water cleaning drops for the tank.
Betta fish will not be harmed if they are in a filtered tank. If the new tank is about the same size as the old tank you should use the old water or most of it in the new tank. If the new tank is larger so you have to add lots of new water then you should fill the new tank with the new water and let it sit (preferably with the filter running) for two or three days before adding the fish. Also when you move the fish make sure the new tank is at the same temperature as the old tank.
any water works but if there is fish in it then probably no. But why would you want to anyway? why cant you use a bowl or something?

Measure the tank. You can get fancy and subtract the thickness of the walls (and the gravel on the bottom).
here is how to do it: pour some water from the tank into a big bowl then put all the fish in there, then wash the rocks clean the tank or whatever then once you have cleaned the tank let it sit for about 24 hours then after the 24 hours you put the fish back into the tank. PS ive tried it other ways and it doesnt work
