No. Unfortunately, the Transmission Fluid level can only be checked by jacking the car up perfectly level, and then opening the overflow valve and filling with trans. fluid until it starts to spill out.

Trans fluid. On the 97-2001 thr is no trans dip. Only a bolt under the car you stick your finger in to check level. So if you have two dips one for oil the other is for trans. Ludekrs

i hope your talking about a 2.4 l dohv. automatic.make sure car is in park. put on parking brake. have someone crank car (needs to be at operating temperature) then remove transmission dip stick and look on stick to see where fluid level is. ( dip stick is located between brake booster and right driver side of engine.)

Yes you can do this, but without a donor car for the necessary parts the cost would be astronomical. My advice is to forget doing this and sell the A/T car and buy one with a manual if that is what you want.
